If anybody remembers when I first came on the board I was pretty much on the offense and I think that has changed. I have really enjoyed some of the conversations I have had with Alpha, Blueberry, and many others. I also have had some excellent conversations with other atheists, and it also opened my eyes to how many other atheists there are. Maybe it's an easier thing for people to admit on the internet than face to face but that's why I keep coming back here.
The feeling is mutual, GCSTroop.

CD didn't change me, t'was the hot pressure iron a christian friend has me under that has me lacking my usual politeness. Most everyone here seems nice and well intentioned, even if some of you anger me by leading children down a dark path of self hatred.

Self-hatred! Harsh! And not always true at all...

Ok, Jeff, I gave you a couple of pity points...that and the fact I've been on your case so much today!

You really are a pretty good sport to argue with... that's why it's so much fun! That and the fact, of course, that we really do disagree!

Ok, I gave you and Jeff both some points. But you have to promise, Trebek that you'll quit repping my sparring partner!

Want an example?

Hoosier's preaching to christrians struggling with their homosexual inclinations and the bible. I would be holding them close telling them they're perfect just the way they are, God loves them, pat them on the head and send them on their merry way.

He undoes what I do.

Want one less specific?

It's difficult to try and live your life the way you know will make you happy if everyone looks down from a pillar a smug look about their face 'no, no, no' and chunks a book at your head.
--
Bah. Don't mind me. I'm just being called every day and heckled over im and I haven't much sleep. CD didn't change me, real life did.

That was my point

You might not have gotten enough sleep last night (which I witnessed), and are feeling cranky this morning (although its afternoon now).

Be yourself, search for truth, strive to treat all people excellent...

Who cares what others think?
