6 days i think. the hard one is first so i dont think im running 10 miles within a week of it. im assuming its gonna half kill me

I would tell the first guy that an opportunity came up for the bigger race, but that you will still workout/practice/train with him to get ready for the bigger one.

That way you aren't blowing anyone off and if he is competitive at all he will understand you want the harder challenge.
