My Ex-wife wrote a Christmas letter to my mom about how great her life is without me. What kind of crap is that all about?!!

Now you REALLY have something to celebrate for Christmas. You're no longer married to her!

This says a great deal about your ex-.

For one thing it says no matter how much she may hate you, you're still on her mind.

For another, it tells how very little she cared for your mother. People are short-sighted, certainly; and I've no doubt this was meant to be a bad thing toward YOU. But while embarrassing for you, it's downright hurtful for your mother. Parents may know we're imperfect but they tend to repress it, try not to think about our imperfections. By throwing this into your mother's face your ex- is stirring $#!+ in the worst possible way.

As someone already posted: Take heart and celebrate that you're no longer married to the kind of scum who clearly relishes pain in others.

Remember in Cool Hand Luke when Luke took a photo of him with two babes partying it up and sent it to his prison buddies? You need to take a tropical vacation and get a couple hot chicas and take some photos of you with them in a hot tub with a bottle of champagne and send it to her as a postcard.

if she needs to take the time to write this unessesary letter then her life probably sucks right now. if she really was havin' a great time the letter would not have been written

Whoa! That's horrible. And I agree with the other posters; be glad you're no longer married to her. I'm sure your mother is!
