To the OP, there are plenty of people now who are watching their wallets, whether poor or not. It doesn't cost much to invite someone over for a cup of coffee and coffee cake (make the Bisquick kind, it's pretty good!)

I don't know your situation. Maybe you were used to spending a lot on socializing and I can understand how it would suck to have to change one's lifestyle. Anyway, just my two cents (which won't even buy a cup of coffee).
