Why is it "ok" to be in a relationship or to date etc because the person is nice, or you like how they or or their personality etc. But if your with someone because their rich or famous etc its frowned upon. In both scenarios the person likes or is with the person because they benefit from it, they are in a sense "using" the other person
Are you rich and letting someone use you for your money?
no, just wondering why we tend to view people differently who are with someone for their money vs who are with someone because their nice for example. In both situations they are "using" the other person for their own benefit
[They're, dude. It's THEY'RE. Not their. I assume it's not a typo bc you did it like 4 times.]
I've never been with anyone because they are rich or because they are nice.
It's the whole package that appeals to me (my "package" includes nice, generous, responsible, funny, smart, ambitious, same goals/values, well-read, good-looking, social, advanced formal education, problem solver, highly competent at many complex skill sets, etc). These are just things without which I have no sustainable attraction to a person. All these things must be there.
Your list of things can be different. If your list includes things like money, I don't think there's necessarily anything wrong with that as long as you are up front and honest about it (to yourself and to the object of your attraction). If someone is ok with people being into them bc of their money, then there is no problem.
It is their use of there/they're/their. The more I go through life the more this annoyed the hell out of me. Everyone has a list of things they like or want in a partner. There is nothing wrong with that at all.
Well, it's fine to be with someone because they're rich, but they're also likely with you for superficial reasons as well. If any of that disappears (i.e., you lose your looks, gain weight, get older) you'll be dropped like a hot potato.
the terminology "nice", Has far to many abstract projections ...
can You give a concrete definition of "nice?"
To be blunt...To a person being tortured, Being HIt one less time is a nice thing for the victim and person hitting them sure was nice to lessen the thwaps! _ See my point?
"Don't you know that a man being rich is like a girl being pretty? You wouldn't marry a girl just because she's pretty, but my goodness, doesn't it help?"
