I'm in POC all of the time.

I made a decision one time to go two or three posts with someone. If hearts and minds aren't changed on either side, I move on.

I like when someone has a differing opinion, if they aren't d-heads about it.

I've actually changed a couple of my views over the years hearing a good counter argument.

I can spot trolls and people who just live to be contrarians just for the sake of it one or two posts in. I avoid those types.

I used to let this place annoy the hell out of me, it ain't worth it. I used to get really really annoyed and over the years have racked up a several vacations.

Now, I just move on, I don't want to make more work for the mods.

You hear so many stories of the porch pirates out there stealing packages. In our condo complex, they added a bunch of USPS lockboxes. I think that there is about 20 or so.

They also converted one room in the parking structure to hold packages too, it has a code activated door entry for security.

I was wondering how many packages that get stolen, does the company you purchased from send out another or are you just screwed. I have a feeling you are just screwed. I suppose it's not the company's fault that you got ripped off by someone else.

I'm lucky that I've never had a porch pirate situation, but I know people in my neighborhood have.

ON a similar note, there was an interesting piece on the NPR station last night about how people shop online and the effect on the supply chain. For example, when people buy several things with the intention of sending some of them back, often those other items don't go back into the retailer's inventory, they're liquidated and written off, sometime even just trashed altogether. I'm trying to be more mindful about how I shop and not be wasteful of time and money and also thinking about the environmental impact of what I'm doing.

We personally haven't had any issues, but I know a few people in our complex who did.

I ordered something from Target a while back and it was the wrong size. I went to their site to return it and the site just said to keep it.

Fine, I went and dropped it off at the thrift store near us.

Correction: 6 months. Personal attacks or some goofy thing reserved for trolls and dic heads as you put it. Actually, if someone don like ya, you’re out. Ask me how I know.

Yeah, the trick on any of these subforms is just not to attack someone for being an azz(or dummy). They will let you get by with more in POC.

6 Months is a long time. They are hurting their customer base by doing something so long. It's too easy to move on to other distractions.

Especially a long term customer who has been here since 2006-2008.

And since you know her, you can compare her comments to those which really are personal attacks. So idk, we’re not suppose to discuss any of that anyway.

I want to get portraits taken for my birthday...but good lord it's pricey. Part of me thinks it's worth it because you only turn 30 once,(I'm also graduating this year with my Master's) but another part is like...girl just buy some balloons and get a friend with a nice phone camera. Freaking...ugh......

Great news on the graduating this year.

I'd suggest you get a set done by a professional. They are really good at making sure to get your good side so to speak and do well with lighting etc etc.

I know it can be a bit pricey. At work once a year or so they bring in a pro and do head shots for anyone that wants to update theirs and the pros can make a difference.

Heck, maybe a phone camera shot might be fine.

Thanks Chow. I'm looking forward to it.

My mom and I might figure something out about the pictures, since we share the same birth month hahaha.
