I'm an employed pharmaceutical scientist. I got my degree(s) while you were popping zits and trying to figure how to score at your jr dance. And lets see, do you plan on joining the ranks of IT? If you're lucky.

First of all, Mr Computer Science, there's not a measuring device on earth today that can accurately calculate the lack of a crap I give about how 'corny' you think I am, or if you take me seriously or not...don't delude yourself like that

Secondly, I believe the original title of this thread/poll (to stay on-topic here) was 'What Do Women Want?'...in your case I can sum up the answer in two words, bolded for your enjoyment---"NOT YOU"

Finally, yeah, I'm gonna 'log off' now...and go into my bedroom and make hot, serious monkey-love to my beautiful, educated, sexy wife, who doesn't have to 'share me' at all, with anyone...while you rack your brains sitting in front of your computer, trying to come up with yet another 'stinging' reply

Look me up when you've finished your extended vacation in Never-Never Land

What have you discovered? The 7th strain of HPV that causes cervical cancer? They were up to 6 out of 85-ish the last time I heard anything on the news. You work for somebody and they tell you what to do. I doubt you are a leader.

Popping zits? Degrees in computer science aren't just given away. I'm sure the person is both smart and employable. But then again, he's a man so, for you, unless he is in a science-related profession, he's definitely inferior.

What do women want, per the OP? When guys see stuff like the absurd poll list on post #1, I'm sure they don't give a damn. In comparison, what would a man's list be for a woman? (1) that I find her attractive, and (2) that I get along with her.

hahaha a 'pharmaceutical scientist' with over 11,000 posts.. you'd think you'd be doing some scientific work instead of accumulating tens of thousands of posts on city data. fiction can be fun when your life sucks

What do I want? Many things....far too many to be put into a single message board post.

Some things are physical, some things are a little more metaphysical and none are set in stone.

Sometimes, everything works out and I meet an amazing man who just fits what I'm looking for and who makes me happy. It usually doesn't last long, unfortunately, because none of those men have seen in me what I see in them.

So I move on and hope the future holds something good for me

Women want wayy too much. Its a bad combination when only one gender gets to choose the mate and expects them to live up to unrealistic male archetypes. On top of that the media and society at large concentrate almost solely on womens needs and basicly laughs off anyone who wants to discuss male needs. This I belive is a factor why relationships are so drama filled these days.Dont get me wrong men have areas they need to work on in contributing to bad relationships. But the problems with overexpectations tilts heavier to women.

How many women are there on earth?
I guess that would be the number of answers.

Same goes for men.

I'm only 4 years out of grad school. I have a ways to go if I have ever want to be a lab head. With that said, >50% of my time is spent on exploratory work. It's early discovery. What exactly can be told? We figure it out as we go along.

Ridiculous. It has nothing to do with him being a man or his studies. It's his attitude about women and that he's a classless pervert. You want to box this in to some stereotyping nonsense, but it's not about groups. It's about individuals only.

I know. It's one or the other for many of you. I admit I spend way too much time on this forum, but I think we can all manage work and the internet. What's more important about spending too much time on the next is if it's sacrificing time needed to stay fit. And sorry, while I think it's great that you managed to get your CS degree, don't expect a parade. I'm impressed by my dept's patent attorney. He has a PhD in some chemistry, his law degree, and whatever follow up work required to be a patent specialist. That caused a double take when I initially met him.
