2 platonic friends of the opposite sex says "Love you" to each other. Neither one desires a relationship with each other. Do you have any opposite sex friends who do this?
I do that with a few of my close male friends. I love them dearly with all of my heart and were not afraid of saying it. I was leaving a bar after playing pool with a few friend one night and my guy best friend yelled across the parking lot 'I love you, drive safe!' and the girl I was with was flabbergasted. She couldn't believe that a man would yell that to a woman he's not dating across a crowded parking lot. I do love my guy friends

Absolutely! I have no idea how old you are, but there are many different ways of love beyond sexual lust/love. Hopefully you'll realize that one day.
If someone says "I love you" and they're a platonic friend - it doesn't necessarily mean they want to switch up the relationship to become something more physical.
"I love you" can simply mean that they love you as a person and there isn't any ulterior motive intended.
