I just can't see spending the kind of money they want for their hams but I do love the flavor. Surely there is a copy cat for honey baked ham but I can't find it. Do you have suggestion?

Costco's spiral-sliced hams are excellent, and usually leaner than Honey-baked. Much cheaper too!
If you have to buy a blow-torch and slice the ham yourself, as the recipe indicates, try Costco's.

Now I think I see why the Honey Baked Ham company charges so much for their hams....look at that recipe! Over 20 steps, including thinly slicing it yourself first (but not to the bone), mixing the multiple ingredients, rolling the sliced ham in the sugar mixture, using a blowtorch (!) to caramelize the sugar, spinning the plate so you can "torch the entire surface of the ham,"....
