I'm curious as to how much a real estate broker pays for posting my home on MLS. Is there a monthly fee they pay, per listing pay, etc. etc.

Just curious how much Agents put out for MLS listing for your home for sale.

Can anyone help and let me know.

Thanks very much.

In my MLS area I paid $2,000 to join and then I pay $75 a month. I know some MLS's have a fee based on the number of listings, but mine just charges a monthly fee.

Hi Silverfall: Thank you very much for the info, appreciate it. Its been helpful. I live in Colorado and wanted to know fees for our state, but at least I get an idea.

Just be aware that fees can vary greatly state to state. Don't know Colorado. AZ is not as much as OR. We pay an annual membership fee, no start up fee. We also do not get access unless we join a local Realtor association which has additional fees.

As others said it depends on the Multi-list service. My company pays a fee - I pay a monthly fee and a fee per listing when that listing closes.

If you're trying to figure out how much an agent spends for the cost of doing business - there is A LOT more to it than simply MLS fees.

I'd be tickled pink if all I had to pay was our quarterly MLS fee.

Metrolist - Denver Metro just went to a flat fee for all members. Realtor members pay slightly less than non Realtor members.

I do not know about the others.

In my area, you have to pay about $75 a quarter for the MLS access and another $20 a quarter to use the electronic keypad to access lockboxs.

In my area, the individual agents pay $22 a month, and an additional $10 a month if they have a website linked to the IDX system (lets them have the listings on their own website). I don't know how much the start up fee was since it was quite a few years ago, before I started working here.

As Chuckity says, there is a LOT more for expenses than just that though.
