I'm hoping some of the pros can help me out here. I'm thinking about purchasing a multi-family unit. Actually, its the one I grew up in as a child. Its been on the market for a few months and has had price reductions each month. Over the years, the property has been rehabbed and there are big picture windows in the front of the house now and there is also a screen door on the front door. However, the listing photo shows the property as it was when my family moved which was over 10 years ago. Why would a realtor not show the property as it currently looks? Is it just laziness or is something else going on here? It just seems so odd to me because it actually looks better with the picture windows. I just posted this to see if you guys have come across this before or to see if its normal and I shouldn't worry? Here is the photo they have listed. Those 3 double-hungs in the middle are now one big picture window.

If it isn't a now pic, that comes across as dishonest to me. And I would wonder what else is off.

It could be that they used the photo from the tax assessor's website instead of taking their own...those are usually outdated. It does seem like a lazy agent not to use current pictures.

Maybe you should make an offer based on 10 years ago.

My agent did it/didn't do it.........no biggy the house was dark brown in the old photo and the house is white now.....i'd chalk it up to slight laziness. Having said that, you want it? put an offer in
