Wow.. thanks all for your response.. after talking with my wife a few friends we are just gona stay put.. im not one to pull this off, i never could.. It should only be as a ultimate last resort.. All i can do i pretty much hope the market picks up and and once the quick sales are sold,, there sold.. and im sure down the road in a year or two im hoping things will be different.. Yes, a lot of people are in the same position. You don't want to think the home you love has depreciated so much in so little time, but be patient things will change. Be glad you can afford your home and didnt lose it

I hope the market turns around fast...but as I have learned from my family...real estate always goes up and down, so it will go up and some people who are buying bankowned have gotten surprises that are very costly...and we don't know what will happen in the end with the people who are walking...it can affect them more than they expect right now....
Isn't paying extra toward the mortgage principal the same thing as 'interest cancellation'????
Or maybe not overspending , and actually paying off your credit card each month, 'interest cancellation'?
