I'm just curious what your experiences have been paying to list your home on MLS and what advice would you give and/or recommendations to other folks doing it? Also, what is the name of the company you used and in what city and state did you do this (please NO website names unless you used their services and can give ample feedback in your post ).
I am politely requesting that NO Realtors/RE Agents/Brokers post in this thread. This thread is for people who have chosen to sell FSBO to speak about their experiences in this area. And if a Moderator feels that there is a better place to put this thread, then feel free to move it to the correct forum.

Thank you all !
Welcome to the Real Estate Professionals forum on City Data!
You are correct in your request to have this thread removed from this forum. Very reasonable, since it is misplaced.
I'll flag it for you to get you the help you need from a moderator.
There is no such thing as a FSBO on an MLS.
FSBO's don't have an agent, and one must engage a Realtor to post a listing on an MLS.
Folks often confuse FSBOing with working with agents who don't fulfill their responsibilities, and don't properly represent their client.

HDL, you can get your home listed on MLS for free (you won't have to pay to do it). There are lots of sites with free listings also. Send me a direct message and I'll be glad to give you some names....

I'd have to say that I think it should stay here. The people coming here are either agents, buyers, sellers. Some have gone FSBO, some use agents.
I think this forum would be better titled real estate - then a sub forum titled RE professionals.
People that FSBO are listed in the MLS depending on what service they use. I've seen Iggys gives an MLS number and a decent page on realtor.com
I've never done FSBO so I can't really comment on that.

HDL, I was going to send you a link via direct message but see you have it turned off. I will try sending it via email, using the post title as subject

The fact that some agents don't do their job properly does not make the Seller a FSBO. It makes a Seller a misrepresented Seller. The MLS is a private facility for Realtors to share listings of homes to interact to broker sales. It is not a public bulletin board in a laundromat.
The great thing about having a forum for Real Estate Professionals is the access to professional conversation.
The OP specifically going onto a Real Estate Professional forum and requesting the group not to participate is indicative of the need for amateurs to have a forum of their own for real estate bantering.
A FSBO forum might be in order. That might be vastly entertaining.
Just to add to Mike's observations and respond to a recent post saying (essentially) that it's "not fair" to reserve the MLS for professionals...
MLS systems are proprietary. They are owned by groups of professionals, typically the local board of Realtors. An MLS system is not a public utility or even a "public accomodation".
I could argue it's "not fair" for me not to be allowed to set up a farm stand to sell my pumpkins inside the local supermarket - but my argument wouldn't prevail, or be weighed seriously.
