Hi!

I'm looking for a good (and hopefully not too expensive) computer-repair place in the Triangle area.

I've got a Dell laptop with a mechanical problem (that is, it makes an intermittent grinding noise). I suspect the fan just needs to be cleaned or replaced, but I've been warned to make sure that a knowledgeable person does the work--this laptop model is apparently difficult to put back together tightly after it's been taken apart. Any recommendations for where to go?

Thanks!

Does Best Buy count? I would go to the one in Southpoint, which is fairly close to Chapel Hill.

You might try Intrex? Are they still around? I use a Mac so I'm not much help on PC repair and my spouse can fix our Macs.

Intrex is still around and they have about 6 locations according to their website. I haven't used them for repairs, but I did visit their location by the Harris Teeter on 54 in Durham (Chapel Hill?). They have a pretty good selection of parts for sale.
