This is such great news! I just bought a bike after hiking it up to the State Farmers Market. I live on Avent Ferry Road and people drive at least 60mph treating it like a drag strip. Because of this, I don't really look forward to getting out and riding. After reading the N&O article, I was pleased as punch to see that my road is slated for bicycle lanes.
I see that Hillsborough St. is also on the list. Of course, we still have to wait for the 'ultimate' approval but I'm keeping my fingers crossed as Raleigh makes its way into the 21st green century.
