Hi,

I'm considering Grace and St. Michael for kindergarten for my 5 year-old son. I'm looking for feedback either way on each school. It's a hard decision I must make in the next week.

BTW, I have visited St. Michael 3 times and really liked it. And tomorrow we'll visit Grace again. I am not Catholic but my husband is -- will admission be a problem?

Thanks so much!

Almost anyone in your position would apply to both schools. It is not uncommon to apply to several schools. I don't know how "hard" it is to get in to St. M. but I do not it's not super-easy. They are expanding the school because they are not currently able to accommodate everyone who wants to go there. I have no idea what percentage of Kindergarten applicants are accepted.

As for the Catholic thing, is your family registered as parishioners at St. M.?

I don't know anything about Grace Christian School.

Good luck!

My son goes to StMS and his older brother was there for 3 years. The school is truly great. Can't speak to other schools, but we have been very happy.

It is my understanding that non-Catholics can enroll. There is a line to stand in though!

Thanks, everyone! I think we've made a decision and are willing to withstand the waiting list if need be.
