Perhaps that depends on your children's bus driver. My daughter's elementary bus driver was proactive in helping us change the bus stop; one letter and the route was changed in 3 days. She is nice and makes sure the children are seated and behaving. If anyone acts out they are reported to the office at the end of her run. If it is raining and she needs to have quite, she won't start the bus until they all have a book in hand and are reading. Ya gotta love it.

No the report is on the safety in regards to dot inspections and the safety of the actual bus itself, not bus stops, the buses are the lowest in the state for passing dot inspections.

Phew I was relieved to read Durham county school buses are among the best maintained Another one of our paranoias is bus safety.

Last month a Wake County school bus driver was taking a turn too fast, was not on her side of the road, and hit a kid head-on that was riding a dirt bike on the road in the other direction.

Both of them screwed up, but the bus driver should have known better to be more responsible. Here we are, over a month later, and she's still going too fast around the turns to stay on her own side of the road.
