They are all licensed. In counseling, the idea that "your mileage may vary" certainly does apply.
Assuming they all know how to implement standard counseling techniques, it then becomes a very personal choice. The person YOU find effective for your particular issue may not be the same one that someone else does. Different issues. Different personalities. Different styles. Different genders (you may or may not have a preference for one gender over the other for discussing your issues).
It's unfair to "trash" one person by stating that one should "avoid" them. If they are so bad as to be avoided, then they need to be reported to the licensing board.
So pick a few and go talk to them. And make up your own mind.
Google "How to choose a good counselor," and you'll find several articles with questions to ask a counselor candidate. Tell the counselor you are shopping around, and perhaps they can answer your questions by phone. You should be able to get a good idea about their approach by asking questions.

CK, I can't help, but if you ask that people send you a DM, they will be more apt to let you know their good or bad experiences with a counselor. Then you can make up your own mind as to whether the counselor seems like someone who is worth making an appointment with or not.
Good points from both of you. I don't think anyone would come here bashing any of these people (at least I hope not), and I'm sure they are all reputable. I just figured that if anyone had feedback on any of them it might make narrowing the list down to a few a bit easier. I know nothing about any of them except their names, location, and that they are in my health insurance network. So the few that I decide to talk to will for the most part be random.
Anyone can PM/DM me anytime. Thanks!
