Will be moving to Durham at the end of June to work at Duke and am looking for day care options near campus for my 15-month-old. Any recommendations?(I've found the star system ratings, but hoping for other info good or bad about the local centers). Any thoughts about Erwin Road Children's School, First Presbyterian Day School, or Yates Baptist?

HR at Duke has a great website with child care resources that a friend of mine shared a while back.

Duke HR - Family-Friendly Benefits (http://www.hr.duke.edu/family/care.html - broken link)

Duke also has an on campus child care center that I am sure is quite nice - but don't know about availability/pricing, etc

When you call places it might be helpful to know that
a 15 month old isn't considered an infant. They should be
walking and talking by 15 months.

We've had our child at Asbury Preschool for the past year and have been pretty pleased. It's not perfect, but where is??? The location is great; right across the street from East Campus. We've only been in the 3s & 4s classes though, so I can't speak to the younger classes. I do know they keep their ratios far below the state requirements.
