I know there have been some past threads about auctions in the area or where to get good old wood furniture, etc. Well, I just got an email about an auction on Jan 24 at this auction house: Tory Hill Auction Company - Raleigh's Auction Location

It seems to be mostly "collectibles" this time, but there are a few really nice pieces of furniture, especially that bedroom suite. Also included is that Martin Luther King autograph which was discussed in the paper today.

I have not been to this auction house yet, so don't know much about them. They appear to be new. You can get on their email list for future auctions.

Default Fun at ToryHill Auctions

I went to the Saturday auction at Tory Hill in Raleigh and it was a lot of fun...fairly new to auctions but this is a nice place and the MLK piece was exciting to watch sell...went for $2900 and everyone clapped. I will go again for sure.

I don't have a list of auction houses, but if you go to auctionzip on the web and enter your zip code you can get a list of local auctions. Some are antiques and some are farm related etc. But there is a key word search.

Tory Hill has another auction on Sunday. Tory Hill Auction Company - The Raleigh Auction Location

I went to the last one and things were CHEAP, particularly on furniture. This one looks a little nicer level of furniture, but hopefully, will still have good prices.
