Has anyone on this board participated in this league? Cary's YMCA has an > 18 yr old league and a 6 ft. and under league. Is it worth a try? I'm dying to get back into consistent bball, as Lifetime fitness' competition level varies way too much for me. My only concern is that it's most likely half court and may not be worth the effort??? But then again, I'm itching to get back on the court. TIA

It is full court and it is pretty competitive. They try and balance each team out with the evaluation form you fill out. They have refs, they keep score (even individual score) and you can even foul out.

I would recommend giving it a try.

Thanks Matt! That info is exactly what I was looking for! Went ahead a joined the the 6 ft. and under league, due to conflicting schedules with my vball league (but both leagues are supposed to be competitive). For those interested in joining, you probably have until the end of the week to join. Games start the first week of Feb. Call Angie @ the Cary YMCA and she can give you further details.
