Hi! Looking for suggestions of places to eat near the Durham Bulls stadium. I'll be coming from Raleigh.

Thanks in advance...

Symposium Cafe in the historic tobacco warehouse district is really good. There is also Tyler's Taproom and Mellow Mushroom. All three are within very easy walking distance to the ballpark (within a block).

^^ Yup, those are your best bets and right there next to the stadium.

I would recommend Tylers or MM over Symposium. If you are interested in a walk of a few blocks more, you can get to Brightleaf, which has a number of excellent food options.

Symposium is SLOW. You will likely miss the game if you go there...and probably pull all your hair out w/ the frustration. I will never go back there. Mellow Mushroom and Tylers are both awesome, however be prepared for crowds and wait times from 45 min to an hour. The brightleaf suggestion is good b/c its less crowded and has more to offer. You could even head to Brightleaf and then drive from there to the game if you're not keen on walking a little.

For goodness sakes, half the fun of going to a Bulls game is eating the "baseball food" there at the stadium! Foot long hot dogs, nachos, ice cream, etc! Live a little

They typically don't do discount tickets since minor league baseball tends to be so cheap as it is. There was a Groupon a few weeks ago that you could have purchased. I know the August 5 game they're giving free tickets if you bring in an old phone book to be recycled and throughout the year they're doing BOGO Terrace Reserved Tickets on AAA Membership Night (although I'm not sure if you have to be a AAA member to take advantage of this or not)

Oh absolutely...you got to be nuts not to eat the ballpark food. I usually start with a bag of salted in the shell peanuts and one of those big cups of beer. Several innings later I spring for nachos and cheese with extra jalapeños...and beer. Just before the stretch I make one more run for one of those Home Run Burrito's...and one more beer. I usually feel lousy the next morning...but hey
