Moving to Raleigh, NC. Young Married (No Kids) Looking to rent first, any areas to avoid? Church, Safety and family-setting are very important. Could afford up to $900+ per month.
I was told to avoid South/SouthEast Raleigh. ( I don't want to start anything here, be nice) Thank You!!!

Best thing to do is to have some visits down here where you can drive around with a local friend or a knowledgeable realtor. There are so many great places to live in the area, lots to choose from, so getting to see what is where, vis a vis how you like to spend time and where you work and shop will really pay off.

I remember first looking at all those realty magazines with maps of all the areas - daunting! So many apartment complexes, so many new developments! Then it became easy because someone at the company I worked for had a place to rent - so with that came all his experience to help me get oriented that first year.
