Thanks to all who gave me places to go,eat & see.Found a great NY style Pizza place called Georgina's on Davis Dr. off Morrisville Pkwy.Owners are from L.I. and make both great regular and sicilian slices & pies.Definitely a taste of NY.
Anyone shop at Teeters?Anyone sick of the question "did you find what you were looking for? Saw a great article giving humorous answers to this question, like "no,what aisle can I find happiness in?".."can you tell me where world peace is?" If you can come up with more funny responses, please post them.Let's drive the well meaning staff CRAZY!!
Lastly ,if anyone likes really good Kosher pickles, jalapeno stuffed olives, etc.log onto the pickle guys website.Located on Essex St. in Manhattan, they ship to NC and are reasonably priced.Tell Al(the owner) that Gilda sent you.
Thanks, I will try that pizzeria. I know exactly where it is.
Also, my husband's pizzeria just moved here, Cinellis. They are big on LI, try them, they are pretty good, they are in Apex on 55, same shopping ctr as cheeburger cheeburger.

I know you mean this in fun, but I think you have touched on one of the delights of shopping at a Southern-based grocer. Service and manners...
After shopping elsewhere for years, we recently started going to a new Harris Teeter. The pleasure of shopping in a service-oriented retail establishment has been great.
I compare it to the frustration of shopping in an operation under-staffed with under-trained and under-motivated staff at low-end stores. You know, where two kids carry on with each other and you have to watch like a hawk to see that all your your bagged stuff gets into the cart.
Here's a less humorous response, "Yes, I did. Thank you."
Works for me at Harris Teeter.

Just FYI, Cinelli's has been in the greater Triangle for many years. The Cinelli's at Main & Broad in Durham (near the Whole Foods Market and Mad Hatter's) does a tremendous business.
Apparently, the parents own the N.Y. Cinelli's; the children own the N.C. restaurants; and their grandparents have restaurants in Rome!
Also, the folks behind Chumas and Amelia's at Brightleaf Square are opening a new restaurant, Piazza Italia, which is supposed to feature pasta and gelato made on-site, along with (IIRC) an Italian market of some sort.
