Wow! Thank You so much for posting theses pics. As a Southern Californian looking to relocate it is soooo nice to see the gardens! They are beautiful. Are the homes like 800K, similar to Southern CA???

Look to pay between $240 and $300 per square foot in Cameron Park. It is a beautiful neighborhood that is one of Raleigh's first planned developments. The homes date to around 1910-1930 or so.

7 homes are currently on MLS (on a particular realty website) that range from $550,000 to $999,000. The sizes of the homes range from 2291 SF to 4300 SF and from a low of $158/SF to a high of $281/SF. The average price per SF among the 7 homes is $215/SF.

I didn't mention any "end", low or high. I was simply communicating what is currently on the market. For the properties I found on MLS, the asking price per square foot for each is as follows: $232, $158, $281, $256, $179, $182 and $218.
There are several factors at play here that include size of home, specific location, size of lot, amenities such as a garage and, yes, condition. I think it's safe to assume that the lower the price per foot, the lower the expectation should be. But, I'll also tell you that none of them cross over $300 a square foot. The one for sale for $999,000 is stunning and it's the highest priced of those currently available and prices at $232 per ft.
That all said, anyone coming from Los Angeles is going to be blown away by what a Million buys in an excellent in-town location in Raleigh.

I, too, enjoyed the pics, NRG - thank you! I think my favorite house is the one with the big front yard.
