I am looking to relocate to the Raleigh area in 2016. No children. I am looking to pay up to $80000 for a condo. I see thatis a possibility but what areas should I avoid. Are there any decent areas in that price range? Any advice will be appreciated as I am planning on visiting in early October.

Depends what you consider decent. There are certainly some built in the 80s in that price range.

Have you considered a townhouse? Condos aren't very common in the Triangle and will limit the neighborhoods you may want to live in. TBH with the exception of modular homes I'm not sure too much of anything around here goes less then 100k.

I think a better explanation of why you're looking specifically for a condo (as cyn7cyn said) might help. Is there something about condo living you're looking for, or have you assumed other options (single family, townhouse) are out of your reach at your price point?

Also, you're going to have to define "Raleigh area" too. There's a LOT of different areas in Raleigh, each with different price points and "decent-ness" but that's subjective too.

People here can be really, really helpful but a bit more information would help us help you as the old saying goes.
