I recently bought a sofa/chair and bed from Ashley Furniture. They gave some extra discounts. The delivery was a little off because they delivery the wrong color chair and was missing the hardware for the bed. Everything was fixed with ease from the store. I would buy from them again.
Stopped in to look at couches at Ashley on Glenwood. The only one I liked came in white only, and it looked like it'd be waiting for stains. I'm hoping for a dark coloured sofa or sectional for around $700 with delivery (have no way to transport myself ).
I heard about Dave's Furniture in Burlington. They're having a grand opening sale. Anyone know anything about them?
For a mix of affordability and quality, I really liked the HomeComfort outlet store. We got a beautiful Ashley sectional for about half the price of sectionals at other stores on Glenwood.
I second Home Comfort Outlet. Went with a pickup truck and got a sofa, 2 chairs and a buffet/bar for our new home. No frills just decent prices.
I recommend Wayside on Capital or Greenfront furniture. Both offer a lot of furniture made here in NC, good service and good prices. I'd rather pay a little more for made in the USA any day!
I've ordered a few items from Wayfair supply, and not been disappointed. The stuff they sell ranges from WalMart to high-end posh import store. It's probably not a good option if you're the type that doesn't know what you want until you stroke it with your hand, so check return options and so forth if not sure, but if you know what you're doing you can sometimes get stuff for close to cost to the normal furniture store selection (and god knows selection is better).
We've shopped at Haverty's, Home Comfort (at the outlet, Glenwood and Capital locations), Garner Wayside Furniture, and Macy's...they all deliver to your home. Best shopping experience by far though was at Jernigan's Furniture in Goldsboro. Can't say enough good things about them. Makes me want to go back and shop some more!

Reason: Add city
Another bump as I'm heading out to search again this weekend. Looking to spend $1000 (or less) on a small sectional. Thanks again!
Sams club, Costco, or Bj's. They allow you do look around for free without a membership. Tell the person at the door and they will give you a day pass. Just bought a leather sectional at Sams Club for $900 and very pleased with it.
