Hello!

Can anyone recommend a store in the area with a large selection of lamp shades? I've tried all the big-box stores, but they don't have what I need which is a specific shape/size.

I am in the Brier Creek area, but will drive to surrounding neighborhoods/towns if there is a good selection.

Thanks!

The Shade Tree and Thompson Lynch are two stores in Raleigh we have dealt with over the years. We really like The Shade Tree on Western Blvd. Just bring in your lamp, and they can help get just the right one. I'm not sure if the new road alignment there had any effect on the shop. Call ahead to make sure they haven't relocated

Garden Ridge usually has a bunch of lamp shades. It's off of Capital Blvd.

Thanks for the recs Poggly Woggly! I will check them both out.

Unfortunately, I already tried Garden Ridge and they don't have what I need.

I also love Shade Tree. Haven't been in awhile, but they've had a good selection for years.

I was just there today and can confirm that, although they've renamed themselves At Home.

Just updating this thread to warn anyone who searches on this topic. The Shade Tree apparently only operates by appointment. I’m sitting in the parking lot, frustrated to find that they don’t keep regular business hours.
