We will be moving to the Wake Forest or North Raleigh area this summer and are considering both of these schools for our son who will be entering 12th grade. He is very smart and loves science, and was very active in academic clubs and debate at his last school. He plans to take several AP courses. He is not into sports at all. Which school would be a better fit for him? I have researched both school websites, but I am looking for personal experience from those who have had children attend these schools. The other thing I am concerned about is safety. Is that an issue at all for either school?

I think a 12th grader would be fine at either school, really.

No problem with either school...I have clients that have students at both.

I can only speak for WF-R (which will be just WF in the fall). My son really likes it there--Good school, no security issues from our standpoint, completely remodeled a few years ago, happy with the communication from the principal, AP classes are strong.
