Hello! I'm meeting a friend tomorrow evening at the Streets at Southpoint, and I thought I'd get my hair cut (and possibly highlighted) while I waited, since I've been putting it off for quite a while. I know there are a few choices: Regis, Mitchell's, JC Penney... I've had good luck at Regis once or twice, but it's really hit or miss. Has anyone been to any of these salons and can you tell me who to go to or avoid? I technically could leave the mall, but I don't know the area well, and I thought it would just be easier.

It might be hard to just get a 'walk in' appointment. It might be a case of just having to take who ever isn't booked somewhere.

I can call in the morning... I've never had a problem getting in anywhere at the mall, especially during the week, thanks though.

Whatever you do stay away from "Color Experts" across the street from Southpoint in the Renaissance Center I should have run when my assigned color expert kept asking for and getting help from another hairdresser.

I know how frustrating it can be to find a good sylist! Mine moved down to Fayetteville and it was hit or miss at several places till I found Karen at Regis. She does an excellent job and really knows hair whether it's straight, curley, or anything in between. In fact, I need to call her today for an appointment!

Good luck!
