Twice in the last month I've had inexplicable and random power outages at my home in the North Ridge area off falls of neuse sometime during the day and have come home to find things on flash! There werent any storms or known reasons and I'm just wondering why. What's weird is that yesterday a few of us a the office were in the break area and it popped into conversation and no less than 4 of us from varying areas of the vicinity had similar freakish power outages on more than one occasion in the last couple months. Ranging from the Clayton, 40/42 area up to North Raleigh and also out near Rolesville. Any know what's up. I remember this happening occasionally every so often but not so frequently and by so many. I miss Progress Energy but I reckon I'm not alone there.

We've been experiencing this in Cary as well. I wonder if the Sharon Harris shutdown coupled with the usual system overload as people turn on their a/c has anything to do with the brownouts.
