This wral article is from last year but keep an eye on the movie theaters. So far, only Marquee Cinema has posted their summer schedule for free movies for kids, hopefully the others will soon.
I have seen signs up at carmike and stone cinema's on chapel hill rd in morrisville. I think tuesdays are the magic day there. Six Forks Cinemas usually does it too in North Raleigh.
I have been looking to? Any body know about free bowling?? we did that last year over in Raleigh once a week It was cool way to rest and let them have fun!
if you go to KidsBowlFree.com: Kids Bowl Free All Summer Long! you can sign your kids up for free bowling, they send you coupons in your email every Sunday from May through August, where you get 2 free games of bowling (you just pay the shoe rental fee) per day. kids 15 and under are free. or you can also sign up, up to 4 adults (16 and over) for $24.95 and they send free coupons for the adults as well.
We do this each summer and even if we go twice a month it more then pays for itself and it is a fun activity for the kids as well as the family.
You can always edit the kids on your list (Adults can't be changed) when ever you want, and as my kids have different friends from out of town, their friends over, or my nieces and nephews here I can add or remove their names to/from the list and take them bowling as well
Regal cinamas has discount movies (1.00 I think) on Tuesday and wed. A.m.. at participating theatrrs ( I know regal white oak in Garnet does...we were just there) we have also been to free movies and concerts at the booth outside amphitheater in cary in past summers. ...usually on weeknights.
