Does anyone know of any places in the area that is hiring 18 year olds part-time with flexible hours? It can be any type of job from stocking and cashiering in stores to working in medical offices? Thank you.

My son is 18 and works at McDonald's. They have been very flexible and accommodating regarding his school and extracurricular activity schedule. I've heard that Target is the same way, but basically most retail jobs would fit into that category.

Stats about all US cities - real estate, relocation info, crime, house prices, cost of living, races, home value estimator, recent sales, income, photos, schools, maps, weather, neighborhoods, and more

Most of the restaurants that hire teenagers work with their schedules. Hostesses and servers are usually easy to find with all the restaurants in the area.

I understand that lifeguards are in hot demand come the end of May. He will have to get trained and certified, but there are a ton of pools looking for summer lifeguards.

Caddying at the various golf courses. Usually, there is some initial training at each course. Very flexible hours. Some just show up when the spirit moves them.

Tobacco farms used to hire teens in the summer and paid more than min wage. I worked at one in Rollesville when I was 15, but I don't know where the farms are now or if any are still in Rolesvile.

Where do you live?
My daughter is 18 and a couple places she and her friends have gotten jobs over the years are: bowling alleys, Harris Teeter, Food Lion, movie theaters, bouncy-jumpy house places like Monkey Joe's, Roller and ice skating rinks, McDonald's, various other restaurants, mall stores.
