I am pulling together a volunteer luncheon for 30 in Feb. These volunteers are hard working people who go above and beyond. I'd like to treat them to out-of-this-world NC BBQ.

Seems that several of the BBQ places recommended by on C-D have closed. The Pit hasn't returned my phone messages.

I would appreciate any recommendations for places where I could pick up good NC BBQ and sides.

Thanks a in advance.

Has Clyde Cooper gone out of business? Can't pull up his web page.

we've used clyde cooper's to cater a party event with 30 people. you can either pick up the items yourselves (they include all the serving utensils, plates, cups, napkins) or you can have them bring them to set up & serve (for a bit more).

Local Raleigh Catering | Downtown Raleigh Catering | BBQ Catering |

we found them to be quite reasonable & when i gave a head count, the amount of food they brought was enough for us to have plenty of leftovers (despite my husband practically eating his weight in barbecue).

I used Olde North BBQ for work catering and everyone enjoyed it. They even have a vegetarian option though to be honest it wasn't very good compared to the pork and brisket lol.

Just left them a message.

Anyone else dealt with them? I like their business description.

Well...there is no out-of-this-world NC barbecue around here but...Carolina Barbecue in Garner does a decent cater...and The Cook Shack Catering out of Louisburg does a great job. He'll bring you the whole cooked pig and chop it right before your very eyes...plus fixings.

My friend used them for a wedding reception, 125 heads. Good folks. Their pork is great. I was not impressed by the collard greens, but everything else (pork, meatballs, chicken wings, mac & cheese) was great. I'd book them in a second.
