Five Oaks or Hope Valley Farms - Durham? (crime, to live in)

Hi All,

Does anyone have any insight or opinions on the better community to live in, in Durham, Five Oaks or Hope Valley Farms. They are both in SW Durham. I am looking for the safest and most family friendly of the two.

you can't go wrong with anything Hope Valley. It's been a very popular area for decades, along with Woodcroft which is right up the road. As far as crime I'd recommend SpotCrime.com. Sign up and stay updated on crime reports within a 5 mile radius or more from any address. NCScanner is another good one. Listen to live streaming local police radio.
