Hello, ~*~Cleopatra~*~,
(That's quite a handle!)
(And I'm digging the colored text, too. Nice!)
Do you know where you'll be planning on going to school in the Triangle? That obviously may govern where you'd want to live. I agree that Chapel Hill is a terrific and appealing community, and a great place to live by many measures.
Whether or not it qualifies as "close to everything," though, depends on exactly which things you want to be close to. Chapel Hill is very close to all the UNC amenities, to the residential and commercial portions of Chapel Hill and Carrboro, and to the adjacent scenic rural areas of southern Orange County. It's semi-close to Durham, Hillsborough, and eastern Chatham County/Jordan Lake. It's not super-close to Raleigh or Wake County, or the rest of the Triangle region. I'm not at all familiar with the local rugby scene, nor have I heard of the Raleigh's Angels team. From the name, though, it sounds like they might be based in Raleigh. It can take anywhere from 30 minutes to an hour to drive from Chapel Hill to Raleigh, depending on what part of Chapel Hill you're coming from, what part of Raleigh you're going to, and what time of day it is. But you presumably wouldn't base your housing decision on the proximity to rugby, although proximity to school is a significant consideration.
Good luck!
