I am moving back to NC after being misplaced for many years. I am an older woman who lives alone and will need to find someone to do housekeeping as well as lawn maintenance. I am wondering what I would expect to pay for these services in the North Raleigh area. Lawn size probably around .3 to .5 acres. I would go into a townhome but for the fact I have four dogs so therefore must buy a good size lawn for the herd.

Was just doing a search for a housekeeper myself and wondered if you ever found anyone reliable? I live in North Raleigh and would like to find someone too. If you have found someone that you like, or tried some that you don't, I'd appreciate your input. Thanks.

Are you looking for live-in help or are you looking for part-time housekeeper?

As far as lawn care goes, I pay my lawn cutting service $36 per time (usually once a week during grass cutting season) (quarter acre yard), and have a separate fertilizing contract and separate shrub/tree contract. But I understand a lot of people with similar sized yards put their whole yard under contract for $125-$150 or so a month and currently looking into those options.

I am looking for someone to come every other week so definitely part-time. If you know of anyone, I'm still looking. Thanks.

I found a service to cut my lawn at a much more reasonable rate to cut my lawn every 10 days. I got the name/number off of city-data. Jorge Pacheco.
