Looking for some advice as to which city I should be looking at if interested in relocating from New York State. I'm heading down to Chapel Hill for a job interview next week, but am only familiar with Durham (having had some family there for some time).
I'm single, in my late 20s, working in the non-profit sector, looking for a place that will be fun for someone who's beyond the college-scene but still enjoys going out and having a good time.
hey, i'm in the same boat, except i'm a guy, and from cincinnati. i'll be in durham/raleigh/CH area monday and tuesday. i'll give you a full report when i get back! (for what that's worth, haha...)
honestly having been in the area now for a little over 2 years...I've lived in Durham and Raleigh and have to say downtown Raleigh by far offers the most options for young-urban professionals...check out Glenwood South, the Warehouse District, Mordecai, Boylan Heights...these neighborhoods definately meet the mark in my opinion...why??? great restaurants, cafes, bars, entertainment (ie. live music venues, theater, museums, etc...)
Hope this helps... happy house-hunting =)
