I'm a "soccer mom" who enjoys watching my kids play, but would also love to be out on the field getting some exercise. Does anyone know if there is a recreational soccer league for women in the Triangle area? I'm looking for a league for women who are new to the game, haven't played in a long time, or just want to have a good time while getting some great exercise without the pressure of a competitive division.

Dark may swat my hands for going off topic, but I have got to ask:

Do you really call yourself a soccer mom?

If so, why?

Do you drive a minivan or large SUV?

Pardon my curiosity. I've just never been friendly enough with one to ask.

@ LoopDeLoop, thank you I'll check it out.
@ meh_whatever, I refer to myself as a soccer mom because our family loves soccer, I spend a significant amount of time transporting my children to their sporting events (mostly soccer), and I'm their biggest cheerleader. I drive a mid-sized SUV, but that has nothing to do with my referring to myself as a soccer mom. It's actually more of a term of endearment to myself and pride in my children...not any stereotypical generalizations.
