All,
I am wondering who if anyone you use to treat your lawns? I used Scotts at my last house and it was relativly inexpensive. $40 for .20 acres. I have had them come out one time at my new house that is on .50 acres and it was $79.99 and I have weeds everywhere! I am wondering what others are experiencing with similar lots? I have a good bed of bermuda and centipede in my yard that is just starting to come out of dormancy and I am hoping to get someone out there ASAP to fertilize and treat the growing weed problem. Help please!!!

We use Fairway Green Lawn Care. For us with almost 0.5 acre is $29 per treatment and if we prepay it is even cheaper. I think right now we are only doing 4 treatments per year, but you can go up to 6.

Here's their number 919-872-1880

Fairway Green came out and said it will be $80/treatment. Seems high, that's even higher than Scott's!

I'm certainly looking for someone relatively inexpensive for my .18 acre yard. Bermuda grass has infested my whole front yard...so I've basically just let it take over. But the problem I notice with bermuda is the increased amount of weeds I seem to get. Within the last week alone, the grass has turned green (from it's typical bermuda-brown) but the weeds are everywhere...moreso than previous years.

We just signed up for the service from True Green. Our lot is 0.17 acres. First treatment is $29.95 and $39 each for the remaining 6 treaments. They said they would come about every 6 weeks. We have fescue grass with tons of weeds.

I just signed up with pay as you go with EPM.

I have bermuda in front- sod from builder. In back I have fescue from builder and bermuda I planted.

ANyhow, 29.95 for first treatment and 46.00 each treatment thereafter. The come out every 5-6 weeks.

Seems reasonable and time will tell if worth it. Oh, my lot size total is .2 but they are only treating probably 3/4's of that at most as part of my property is a drainage area.

My neighbor just fired EPM after he found his yard still riddled with weeds after treatment. EPM's response to his phone call was that the weeds will burn off in the summer heat anyway, so my neighbor decided that if their strategy is to charge for free summer heat he could do better elsewhere.
