Hi all,

I'm hoping someone can recommend their cleaner. We live in Wake forest in a 3,000 sq foot home and would prefer not to use a chain (Merry Maids or Molly Maids, I haven't had good luck with them).

Does someone want to recommend their honest, wonderful cleaner and share about what you pay (we're looking at every other week) just so I can gauge how much it'll cost)? We're new to our neighborhood and haven't noticed anyone using a cleaning person or I'd ask a neighbor.

Thanks in advance and am hoping to get some good rec's!!

After having numerous problems with individuals cleaning my house and going through several, I made a change. Many of them started out good and declined in quality over time. They also lacked insurance which is critical if sometime expensive gets broke (and it did and they disappeared). I've had very good luck with Molly Maids of Wake Forest and could strongly recommend them. This is a franchise that has been around for quite awhile. I've gotten to know the owner and can tell you that she is all about customer service! I'm sure the quality varies from franchise to franchise and other ones may or may not be as good as hers. My house is 2500 sq ft and is done on a monthly basis. I pay an hourly rate. (they send a team of 2 or sometimes 3) I'm pretty sure that every two weeks would be less/hour.

Carcrazy,
that's really interesting! We had just the reverse experience living in VA. We started with one chain (Merry Maids, actually), then went with another then with a woman that I found through a work internet/classified. The chains we used actually got worse over time, we never had the same team, we found out after that they'd stolen some things from us and it was just not great. When we found our cleaning lady, she was amazing, she was like our family after working with us for 3 years. We'd spend holidays at her house with her family!

Would you mind pm'ing me how much you pay an hour and about how much you end up paying for cleaning? Again, just trying to budget. I'll definitely contact them based on your recommendation...now that i think of it, see if you can get a discount on a clean if you recommend them and we end up using them, not a bad idea

I'd love to hear someone else's experiences with them or a recommendation for someone.

Happy new year everybody!

I've got an individual who cleans my house, been down the company route before and will never go back. I have a 3600 square foot house in WF which she charges $85 EOW for. PM me if you want her contact info.

Just an aside on bonded and insured- diamond earrings were taken from my house on cleaning day and I would only get reimbursed if an arrest was made-useless piece of papaer unless you can read the fine print.
