Hands down, for residential location, either for renting or owning, and the ability to get anywhere with relative ease, would in my opinion be the intersection of Glenwood (Route 70) and Duraleigh. Ground zero. Opinions?
I love that area. We used to live over there in Oak Park. It's a very easy commute to almost anywhere and the area is mature with plenty of shopping and.

We live a little farther up 70, off of Ebenezer Church and Westgate. We researched this area for about a year with several trips down to check out differernt areas and houses. I'm glad we brought where we did, it's close to a lot of things. Half-way between downtown Raleigh and Durham, close to RTP and Brier Creek is right down the road. We also are in the Leesville Rd. school district which I hear is one of the best in the Triangle (don't have kids yet). The only draw back that some people believe it has is the aircraft noise, but I barely even notice the airplanes.
I might add for young professionals, this may be the hottest pool and pool scene in the whole Triangle area.
