I would be interested to hear from anyone who has had a Retaining Wall built and their thoughts on:_

a) recommendations for Landscape builder to do work based on their experiences

b) what would be the cost for a curved wall (made of stone blocks) - wall being 28ft long and 30 inches high

my thoughts are if the stone blocks cost cost $4 each for 12'' x 6'' (assuming good quality blocks), then cost of material would be $600; but I have no idea what the labour charges would be

thanks in advance for responses

All I can tell you is who NOT to use. I will PM you with the name of the company. We had a horrible experience with them.

WE are having a series of terraced patios done right now all with curved seating walls. The walls will be covered in stacked stone. I can't tell you what your cost would be because out project is quite extensive and is all inclusive in its cost. But RDU construction is doing the work. If you want just the paver like walls built try giving Pro Scapes a call. Both companies bid our job and both do beautiful work.

I have my own landscape company and I am moving to Durham this August. The total cost of the wall will vary depending on what brand/type of stone block you are using but you can figure the whole process will cost around $2,000.
