I may be over in this part of Cary later today and am looking for a place to meet with friends to grab some appetizers and maybe a glass of wine. Any suggestions on pla ces in the immediate area? Non-chain options preferred. Thanks!

If I'd stayed living in that area, the place I kept meaning to try was Tangerine Cafe: Welcome to Tangerine Cafe! | tangerine Cafe | Tangerine Cafe

In Preston Walk it's pretty dominated by chains, though Henry's Gelato is great for dessert after.

You could go to Lotus Leaf, that's not too far: WELCOME TO LOTUS LEAF CAFE

La Farm has a cafe and I'm pretty sure they have a liquor license, but they are only open until 7: La Farm Bakery

You have a few options right on Darrington Dr.

1. Biaggi

2. Stonewood Grill

3. Ginja Japanese

Panera Bread is there as well. For appetizers and wine I would suggest either Biaggi or Stonewood Grill. Both are very nice restaurants.

Tribeca Tavern on the corner of Davis and High House is another option

Tangerine Cafe is great, but not really a wine/appetizers kinda place.

We ended up going to Biaggi since we could walk there from wine tasting at Sip. We ordered two more bottles of wine to share with another couple. We had a great time, but my head is spinning now.

Thankfully we had a designated driver!
