Interesting. I post a link showing how Raleigh is rated among the top 10 cities for African Americans to work as an example of something to be proud of and how diverse this area is and I get dinged with a Negative Rep and a comment calling me Racist!
Well, I gave you a point NRG regarding noting the distinction made in Black Enterprise. I read the magazine at the library and took note of it. It is good to see someone point that out. What you said was positive and whomever gave you that negative mark has a problem with race themselves, you were merely celebrating diversity.
JEEZ! I guess this a perfect case of "Just relaying information, Please don't kill the messenger!!"
Deversity is a good thing. Otherwise life would be boring and bland.
Sorry but I don't think you did anything wrong, all you did was state yet another "Top List" in a magazine and you said nothing except provide the link.
Some people!! Ya know?
Anyway, have a nice day in Durham-Raleigh Wish I was there now!
So, "work hard and get the heck out of the store," I guess...
Not sure what this has to do with the original post, but what a horrible practice by those property owners. This is the difference between public transit in NC and the northeast. There, it's convenient and can take anyone anywhere. Here, it's the way poor folks get to work.

Disgraceful.
Controlling mass transit is one way to control folks on the lower end of the income spectrum.
That lower income demographic is disproportionately minorities, and is historically a way to discriminate against perceived undesirables.
The article shows a black lady who was interviewed and has a LONG walk to the bus.
Interesting that the two stories hit at the same time, that's all.
NRG, I gave you a point for posting some positive information. Shame on whoever it was that gave you negative feedback.
ditto on everything said there!
