It seems like these two towns are totally segregated when it comes to worshipping together with another race. If you know of any racially diverse church in Smithfield NC or Four Oaks NC please send me the info.I am at my wits end. Thank You

If you dont mind going a bit farther than Smithfield, C3 in Clayton has a very big church that has a great diversity. I haven't been myself, but I know quite a few people who do. Cleveland Community Church (or C3 - you may have seen some of the bumper stickers).
Thank you for the info. I previously attended C3 for several services and while they are certainly diverse and contemporary I found the sermons to be "lite" when it came to preaching from the word of God. They do not rely very heavily on Scripture. Instead it felt more like self-help seminars. Thanks again for taking the time to provide me with this information.
Not sure where Four Oaks or Smithfield is, but have you tried Open Door on Durant Rd. In Raleigh? They seem to pride themselves on being racially diverse...so much so that they have a bilingual service with plans to expand even further into other cultural services.
You might have success looking just up US 70 in the Clayton area? Possible Goldsboro. Not sure if you will be able to find that in Smithfield / Four Oaks.
Sorry, that area has a long history of remaining segregated in terms of worship and similar. I'd be stunned if you found what you are looking for there or nearby. But, you never know. You will need to go north towards or in Raleigh.
I know what you mean preaching "Lite". There are quite a few churches in this area like that. I get the sense that most, not all, mega churches are like that. Or they preach the prosperity stuff. I want my minister to teach me about God, and leave the financial stuff to my CPA/Financial Planner.
Asking for a racially diverse church that also preaches fire & brimstone in the Smithfield area is like asking for a white Christmas in Miami. You just can't get both, and anyone who knows anything about the area should realize that.
I would suggest that you search for a church where you (and any others you'd accompany) feel accepted, and forget about the supposed nirvana of a racially/culturally balanced church in the conservative southern town of Smithfield. You don't bother to detail your situation, but what is more important - that you can view mirror images of your lifestyle, or that you feel comforted & inspired by the church you attend? If it is a black/white or gay or whatever situation, just maybe you should stop looking for others that are just like you and instead look for others that ACCEPT you.
Giving up indicates a lack of desire to start with, so I'd advise you show yourself you care enough to try a few churches until you find the right one. That's the advise for any & everyone, regardless of cultural stereotypes or shrouds adopted. Go to more than one church, and give them more than one chance. That's what you'd expect from them, right?
