Just recently I decided to remove all the doors off the cabinets. It's a garage, you will eventually at some point have bugs or mice. They like those closed doors. Also it's much easier to find what you need with an open cabinet/shelf when you have a lot of them, and a lot of stuff.

Closed doors do look "cleaner", but open shelves make it look more "manly" ....I like to show off my tools. Insert Tim the Toolman's arh arh arh here.....

While I am all for having things very neat and tidy looking I agree with HR on the no doors if for no other reason than I hate the idea/experience of opening a cabinet door and having some "critter" staring back at me. Just a female perspective - don't know how Mrs. 03 would feel.

Yeah, I think I've nixed the closed cabs. idea. Maybe cabs with no doors. TBD. I have some 2x10's that I'm thinking would work well for holding shelves/cabs. Just need to get the right system for anchoring them to the block and I'm golden. Gotta support a good bit of weight so I'm investigating.

As for SWMBO - she'd absolutely FREAK!

When I purchased my house the garage came with cabinets made from plywood and 2x4's very sturdy.

I like the idea of having doors......it makes it look neat and clean.

Looks great! But I have a whole bunch more chit than that. If my garage looked like that I'd call the police 'cause I'd have been robbed.

Yea me too, that's a picture I took after I put the floor in.

A great place for ideas is The Garage Journal forum

Believe it or not they're peel n stick tiles. Floors been down for two years now and I haven't had any issues at all.

The floor was in very good shape and had been previously painted the key is to put down an adhesion promoter before installing the tiles .

The adhesion promoter came from Home Depot and the tiles from Amazon.

Ok, Stupid Question Warning:

And the $64,000 question: do you park on it daily? None of 'em are showing signs of loosening?

Not that I'll probably ever get to it with the amount of projects on my HDL, but just curious.
