S. Venice seems to be doing ok. We've only gone 3-4 days without rain.

Someone told me that Rotonda is the desert of Fla. Most of the rain seems to go around it.

Finally, a nice soak today. My grass needed it badly.

The summer we moved in, we had a virtual drought in west Punta Gorda. Big Tstorms would blanket Fort Myers, head north, then split around Burnt Store, with part moving northwest out over the Harbor, and part moving northeast over east Punta Gorda and Cleveland. We ran our sprinklers all summer that year. Last year was better, and this year is good so far. So, maybe the "horseshoe pattern" is normal, it's just a question of how far east or west it orients.
