Yes.

(EDIT: I was not sure if this would embed. It didn't. It is a song by a Steampunk band I love.)

Anyone else drop a stick of butter in their shoe today? Just me?

(I know... have the manservant steam my shoe. I brought it upon myself.)

I know a woman who said she was cooking, and the doorbell rang, and she put the stub of butter (in the paper wrapping) in the pocket of her loose fitting dress to answer the door...why the pocket?...so the cat wouldn't eat it, of course!... And then she forgot about it. And it melted.

First world butter problems.

This sounds like one of those "cause and effect" questions on standardized testing.

I don't even have an excuse other than butterfingers. Literally! I picked up the butter and dropped it straight onto my shoe. I might have said a word that is frowned upon in churches.
Now I'll forget that I have butter in that shoe and wear them and end up gliding gracefully everywhere I go. Because that's exactly what always happens.

I've never eaten 'filet of sole' so tough that it required an entire stick of butter to tenderize.

Ha! Good one!

I slipped my shoe on and then I remembered the butter in it. I showered because I prefer to be butter-free in the foot area. And then I slipped my shoe on and got butter on my foot again. I just know there's a solution to my problem, but it involves cleaning the butter out of my shoe and I don't wannnnu.

I end up doing this at the end of the season. You are right; they pull right out.

But this year I am trying to be conscientious, by deadheading daily and pruning weekly. After all, I have to prune the roses too.

Easy solution! Pop some popcorn and stick it in the pocket. Watch movie. Enjoy buttered popcorn. No issue!

Yet another instance of popcorn being one of many right answers.

I would think a couple of slices of bread would do the trick. It cleans up the butter nicely and provides a tasty snack.

Of course, the other obvious answer is to stop thinking of them as shoes and start thinking of them as "slippers".
