I rode my bike to some errands after work. I was purposely riding super slow to not get too hot. The way there is up a small incline. The way home is mostly slightly downhill but the last 4 blocks have an escalating hill.

I usually ride on the the sidewalk near the last block because the other 2 options are not ideal. Option 1 is to take the main street but it is uphill and cars like to go 40mph on that block. And the light I need to turn at doesn't have a bike friendly sensor. Option 2 is take the quiet street parallel to the sidewalk. But the hill is far steeper and the road is basically whack a pothole, and you have to dodge a lot of huge ones. Typically the sidewalk is empty or I can cruise past them before they finish crossing the street.

Well yesterday the sole pedestrian jaywalked and got to the sidewalk before me. So I had to take option 2. And my face got sweaty tackling the big hill.

Same here. Freezer and fridge are full, but no idea what to cook. (And little desire to do so!)

It's 91 degrees here. Standing in a hot kitchen that long is not fun. Sounds terrific for a winter dinner.

Mother of the groom, (her only child) is getting married in two months. Ordered a beautiful dress online, but had no idea what size I am. (Hence, I never order clothing online!) Dress came in, but despite the size, is too small. As a result, have to re-order same dress, and to side with safety will order it in the next three sizes and send back the ones that don't fit.

Such is the plight of ordering (even a gorgeous dress) online....What the hell does June know about what size she is? All she knows is that she has to look DARN GOOD at this wedding!

Wish me luck....I'll either look good, or look like the dress was painted onto my body!

--Thus says the mother of the groom!!!....

Without chicken? I ended up making big salads for us. They were very good. I ran out of inspiration tonight. I need to get to the store for protein.

People who say "exactly" all the time in retail, official settings, etc.

"And what's your name, sir?"

"Yeledaf."

"Exactly."

Damn right it's exactly. This is not a quiz. I know my own name.

I have a friend who uses the word "literally" literally every 10 words. I don't think that word means what she thinks it means......

My pet peeve is getting home from work and having to decide which cigar to smoke and what bourbon to pair it with. I try to save the $15 and up cigars and the Blanton's or Elmer T Lee for the weekends.

Bummer! I thought petunias were sort of indestructible.
